OC’s Largest Collegiate Hackathon
HackUCI is a 36-hour long virtual hackathon with a simple focus: to get participants to create, connect, and inspire. Participants band together in groups of 4-5 and work on creating a project from scratch, competing with other teams for prizes. In addition, HackUCI hosts a variety of technical workshops, opportunities to connect participants with our sponsors, and social events to keep our participants learning and connecting, even when they’re not hacking. HackUCI applications are open for UC Irvine students and for students ages 18+ located in the United States.
This year, HackUCI will take place from Friday (February 11th) to Sunday (February 13th), with the event being conducted fully online in accordance with UC Irvine’s COVID-19 guidelines. Participants can expect to create projects with a team that seek to solve a certain problem or meet a certain prize criteria, engage in workshops hosted by our talented organizers and on-campus organizations, and compete in social events for some prizes!
We’re also looking for mentors for HackUCI! Mentors will be responsible for assisting hackers throughout the hackathon with their projects, with some perks including unparalleled resume experience, endorsements from Hack at UCI organizers, and so much more! If you are seeking to be a mentor for HackUCI, please apply at https://airtable.com/shrbPw3zLgnVZkMkA
Students ages 18+ located within the United States are invited to apply at hackuci.com. Please note that applications will close on January 30th, 2022, at 11:59 PM Pacific Standard Time!
